That is a question that only your doctor can answer for you. There can be rebound effects, if you miss a dose of your current medication, so when switching to or substituting another, you have to make sure that it's an equivalent dose.
In the future, you should make sure to always pick up your refill, before you run out. This is not a controlled substance, so you should be able to pick it up a day or two early from your pharmacy.
