You should take the medication as prescribed by your doctor, since it is far more risky to allow high blood pressure, or a cardiac condition to remain out of control.

The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, hypotension, and dehydration.

Are you on any other medications?
