Yeah, but wait till you start withdrawing. You don't have to be in full blown withdrawal but wait till you have symptoms. You don't have to be sick as a dog to take it,I know, i've been there and have taken opiates and 6 hrs later took a sub "the way you are supposed to " and was fine.
It is a common misconception that the Naloxone in Suboxone initiates precipitated withdrawal. This is false. The Naloxone can only initiate precipitated withdrawal if inj'ed into a person tolerant to opioids. Taken sublingually the Naloxone has virtually no effect.

I was prescribed suboxone for over 17 months and not once did i feel euphoria while taking the suboxone. I will say that i still had cravings every now and then. Long story short, my insurance stopped paying for them and there wasn't any way i could financially afford my script, they were literally a small fortune to pay for with cash. The withdrawals i had were absolutely horrific, i would had much rather come off the opiates alone cold turkey. I ended up relapsing not only to stop the withdrawals but i had already honestly mentally relapsed before i had just got straight cut off subs without being tapered down like most Dr's do. So my question to you is my family doctor is aware of my addiction issues and prescribed me just tge Naloxone pills for my cravings. I did research and apparently they have been giving people Naloxone for over ?50 years, mostly to alcoholic's and some opiate addicts. I also asked people that have already been taking this medication if it helps with their cravings. The majority of these people swear by this Naloxone medicine, but i still have the entire prescription and haven't even tried it because i know how physically dependent i became of Suboxone, oh also Naloxone does not make you physically dependent on it at all. You said in your comment that the beuponorpine is what works not the Naloxone, in your opinion do u think i should get a 2nd one from another Dr. ? Take them? Dispose of them??
I want to stop taking opiates. I have taken suboxone before and didn't care for it. I have some zubsolv's & I am just wondering how many hours after the last use of opiates can I take the zubsolv?
Don't take any advice from Verwon whoever it is jus throws out random Google search info, I think you shouldn't comment on ANY Meds unless you have personally taken them, Because half of it is B's. I been on subutex and suboxone for Years & people are so Ignorant to it EVEN THE DR's THAT GIVE IT TO YOU ARE. Man Lets get this straight right now THE NALOXONE IS NOT THE ONE GOING TO THROW YOU INTO WITHDRAWS IT IS BUPRENORPHINE THE MAIN INGREDIENT IN ALL OF THEM THAT DOES IT!!!! It KNOCKS THE OPS OFF OF YOUR RECEPTORS & Buprenorphine takes over your dopamine receptors and that is what puts you into withdraws from Going To cloud 9 to planet Earth In Seconds. I already know my post is going to be rewrote like my last one to something I didn't even say, so who cares I'm sure you won't get to see this post. And YES The NALOXONE does get into your system when you use it in your mouth, there's a life and death difference between Box and Tex, they will tell you there ain't but have they taken it for almost 10 years Naw I don't think so. So either way it goes peeps are going to I-V it because naloxone really don't do anything but stop the Buprenorphine from working and man just run the other direction, you be better off on methadone, they both are going to have your system all jacked up might as well get the benefit of being on methadone that your not going to get on Buprenorphine.
In my opinion (I'm not a Doctor but probably could be a pharmacist for sure) I know it won't help with cravings they just give that out for if you was to take any Ops it would block it, but It ain't gonna do anything for you on the withdraws side, if that's what your taking it for coming off Suboxone? then Naw it ain't gonna help you but screw you over for when you really do need to take some ops, the Buprenorphine was the one in Suboxone that stops the cravings and WDraws. Naloxone is like what they would give to somebody that's been thru rehab and they know they can't stay away from ops or something or a parent makes there teenager get a 30 day Naloxone shots so they can't get Hi. And what your talking about im sure it's the more powerful stuff that's not in Suboxone but like the stuff they give peeps when they Od' on H'. My advice if it's given to you for coming off Suboxone then don't take it, because your just gonna be D sick & not able to take anything for it but if your taking it for a precaution to not get hi if you was to take ops, then hey it might work for Ya. But if your coming off Suboxone go to another doc & get back on the devils Drug so you can get off of it maybe, I hear Ya its worst then any op out there WitDraws can last months prob longer idk never been completely clean & prob never will be because of pain probs, still on the stupid sub train but I have been without sub and methadone coming off methadone was easier, but yea sub sucks leave Ya mental messed up and physical for along time, and sorry don't have any 1st hand experience with the straight naloxone just with the subs, I would go get a second opinion from an addiction dr. Because reg Doctors Don't know crap about what your going thru and pretty much most addiction doctors don't either but they can atleast write you some more sub. hope everything turns out good for you
You still have to be in full withdrawal, before you can take it. Otherwise, it may cause dangerous precipitated withdrawals.
Are there any other questions or concerns?
You need to be in full withdrawals, otherwise the Naloxone in the Zubsolv could throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals.
The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
When taking this, it is always best to follow your doctor's instructions.
Is there anything else I can help with?
