I took doxycycline in feburary for a root canal then in april for sinus infection. Now my gyno has me on it because she removed a cervical poylip. I'm wondering if taking this so many times is harmfull or will it break down your imun.system?

It really depends on the specific bacteria being treated. If they are all the same, then yes, you do run the risk of developing antibiotic resistance, which means that, in the future, this medication may no longer work for you.
However, if it is still working now to treat or prevent infections, then there is really no reason to worry. In many cases, doctors like to reuse an antibiotic that you have taken in the past, because it's already been established that you aren't allergic to it.
