I have been taking Methotrexate for 2 months. I have had a weeks break and due to start with inj's. instead because of side effects from the oral methotrexate. I have just started with a cold and a tickly cough. Can you still take the inj. which is due Monday, or should you wait whilst the cold goes? Not sure what to do. Thanks.

I don't see it listed among the contraindications, but it would be best to double check to be sure.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, administration site reaction, abdominal distress and hypotension.
Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi Verwon, thanks for the reply. I did ring my rheumatology nurse for advice in the end. Be cause she thought I may have a virus, she advised me not to take the inj. for a week and the to ring back to see how I was. I did this and was told to then use the inj.
