Can You Take Hydrocodone As Needed

I've been taking 5/325mg. of hydrocodone just as needed due to severe arthritis . Take only 1 tablet per/day at the most. Skip those days when my pain is manageable up to 3 days without. Been having what seems to resemble side effects, such as headaches, body aches, high blood pressure, extreme agitation, and cold sweats w/chills. I'm worried whether or not I should just take the 1 p/day just to play it safe? I don't crave the hydrocodone or miss it when I don't take it, I just don't want these questionable side affects of possible withdrawal symptoms..Thank You for any advise!

If you aren't taking it frequently, then it is not normal to be experiencing withdrawal effects, that usually only occurs from long-term regular use, according to FDA reports.

Have you actually checked your blood pressure to know it's been high, or are you just assuming due to the symptoms?

Are you on any other medications?

It would be best to have these issues checked out by your doctor to be sure.
