Can You Switch From Azithromycin To Doxycycl For Strep

Is it safe to switch from azithromycin to doxycycl for strep? Was taking azithromycin for three days then was switched to doxycycl, is this safe?

Yes and this is commonly done, if a doctor wasn't sure what type of infection someone had, but then culture results came back that required switching to a different one, or if someone has a bad reaction to the first one.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
