Actually, if you have rosacea, you should stay away from alcohol. While it doesn't cause it, it can trigger or worsen flare ups, so you'd kind of be defeating the purpose of taking the antibiotic.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of Doxycycline as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
