Can You Crush Promethazine And Put It In A Feeding Tube

My husband has a feeding tube and can't keep anything down. He has a few promethazine 25 mg left. He wants to know if he can crush one and put it down his feeding tube?

Promethazine can be crushed, but I am not sure of the safety of putting it in his feeding tube. Does anyone else know? Have you asked his doctor?

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth.
