I have been on Xarelto for just over 3 months. I have pain in my right heel that is extremely painful to walk on. A doctor diagnosed it as plantar fasciitis. Is this another side effect of Xarelto?

It is not listed as a known side effect by the FDA. The typical side effects of Xarelto are listed as possibly including nausea, easy bruising, increased risk of bleeding, headache, and joint/muscle aches.
As of now, according to current research, medications haven't been known to cause Plantar Fasciitis, however, that doesn't completely rule them out, either, since we learn new things every day.
Are you on any other medications?
