Can U Take Subutex After Taken 80mg Of Methadone

I would like to know cause I take methadone and I've got subutex that a friend gave me but I thought it might hurt me

I know for certain never to take suboxone..I take 90 mg of methadone and done a quarter of suboxone and litrally died they brung me back but I still have side effects from that nite

I have to concur with becca on the fact that it's probably not safe to use either of these drugs within at least a few days of each other. One counteracts the other so much that it could potentially put your body into a life-threatening state of withdrawal (if taken at the wrong time).

I have seen testimonies from other people who accidentally attempted this and later paid the price. Apparently when your receptors are filled with methadone, buprenorphine may take the methadone off of the receptors and cause precipated withdrawal syndrome. This is basically acute withdrawal - what is normally experienced over several days is compressed into a period of several hours, with headache, cramping intestines, diarrhea, vomiting, restless legs, etc.

I hope this is enough to persuade you not to misuse your medications and to only take what's prescribed to you by your doctor.

It's only if the take subs after meth though. Other way round meth after subs and the meth just won't work that well?

If you have a physical addiction to opiates and you took that much methadone you shouldn't feel any withdrawl. If you take suboxone when methadone is keeping your withdrawl symptoms the methadone will block the suboxone and the suboxone will block the methadone and you will feel the withdrawl immediately. Your not going to die, but your gunna want to die because there will be nothing you can do to stop the w/d symptoms.

I was on 80mgs of methadone a day for a long time like 4yrs or something and this was several years ago. But I once waited like 4 and 1/2 days before take suboxone and then subutex. I literally almost died. I had to go back to the clinic the next day no choice. I'm not gonna go into it but it was the absolute worst mistake I've made. Currently I'm dropping out of the clinic tomorrow will be my last day. I've been skipping a couple days here and there and dropping. My dose may either be 30 or 40mg tomorrow. And I called up a friend that's getting subutex. She's gonna give me some for free. But I doubt I take for the first 6 days. I'm giving them to my parents just so I don't take them before. Cause I will never make that mistake ever again. But I honestly don't know whether or not it was mostly due to the suboxone since I ended up taking both and I took suboxone first. I took like 8 mg then 8more when I started getting worse. THen when I realized I was screwed I bought subutex and just tried to power through it. Didn't work.
