Can U Take Benadryl With Cheratussin

Can my 8 year old take benadryl if she took cheratussin 3 hours ago.

I don't think combining them would be a good idea, unless her doctor recommended that you do so.

The reason I am saying this is because the Cheratussin AC contains Guaifenesin and Codeine. The Codeine is a narcotic, so it can cause depression of the central nervous system, especially in children.

The Benadryl can also cause that, so it may be too much for an 8 year old child and could put them in danger.
