Can U Drink Alcohol While On This Nucynta And Naproxen

I took my meds 10 hours ago and I was wondering if I could have 2 glasses of wine?

No, you should stay away from alcohol while taking prescription medications.

This is especially true with the Naproxen, since it may have a detrimental effect on your liver, which can be compounded and made more risky by adding the alcohol, even drinking very little has been known to cause liver failure.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of Naproxen as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding.

Nucynta is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Alcohol with it can worsen the side effects.
