I am not actually familiar with this, since it's from Australia, so I don't know whether or not it is a time released tablet. If it isn't, then it should be safe for you to cut it in half, as long as your doctor approves, but you can't do that if it is a time released formulation of the medication.

And it won't deteriorate fast enough to be an issue if you're using it within a day or two of cutting it.
Have you consulted your doctor about the diarrhea problem?
