Can Sulfameth Trimeth Ds 800 160 Trigger Psoriasis?
UpdatedI was prescribed sulfameth trimeth ds 800 160, taking 2 tablets twice a day for 10 days to treat an infection located on the top of my foot. I completed taking all the pills as directed, two days later I was feeling drowsy and nausea and developed a rash over a large area of my abdomen and arms.
If the rash is a side effect of the antibiotic how should I treat it?
Doctors believe I have developed psoriasis could they be wrong?

Hello, Adriano! How are you?
This antibiotic can cause a rash, as a side effect. If it is due to taking it, then it should go away on its own after you've been off of it for about 2 weeks. If it doesn't improve, after that time, then you'll need to see your doctor for treatment.
Is there anything else I can help with?
