Can Sulfameth/tmp Ds Cause Low Blood Pressure And Low Body Temp,chills And Night Sweats

my husband had a itchy skin bumps all over his body he tried cortizone creams they didn't work so the dr. put him on sulfameth/tmp ds it cleared up after 2 weeks but now he is having low grade fevers sometimes they are high also low blood pressure and chills and night sweats. Could this be related to his prescription

Has he contacted his doctor, yet?

These are not normal side effects associated with this antibiotic,the generic for Bactrim, the normal ones include: nausea, drowsiness, skin rash and diarrhea.

However, there is concern about its use causing Stevens-Johnson Syndrome in some people and the symptoms of that can include some of what he's experiencing. This can be a very serious condition, so he should see his doctor immediately, so he can be tested for it.
