I am looking for doctor able to prescribe my oxycodone in col ohio. I am a recent amputee with a dead hip bone and just had major surgery on my left leg wich has left some bone exposed. However, as I'm getting ready to be discharged my surgeon says find someone to prescribe pain mess and says a pcp can do this for now. I'm terrified please help.

A PCP can technically prescribe such pain medications, but due to the new directives set forth by the DEA last year, most of them will not, especially for new patients. In most cases, even for existing patients, they will only prescribe for a short period of time.
Do you have a PCP that you've been seeing regularly?
If so, they might be willing to help, for a short period of time, while referring you to pain management.
The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
