Can Nuroday 1500 Cure Herpes?

I am 49 and was just diagnosed with Herpes. My doctor prescribed Nuroday 1500 once a day. Can it cure Herpes?

Unfortunately, at this time, there is no cure for herpes, even with all of our advances in medical science. The best we can do is to try to prevent outbreaks with antiviral medications, such as Acyclovir and Valacyclovir.

The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, and headache.
