No, neither of these have been known to help.
The generally advisory for treatment is to keep the affect areas warm, avoid any extreme temperature changes, keep them dry, use a topical steroid cream to relieve itching, vitamin D and calcium supplements have been said to help some people.
As to medications, a vasodilator, such as Nifedipine or Diltiazem can help. The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, increased urination and hypotension.
