Can I Use Mupirocin While Taking Methadone

I take 40 mg of methadone daily, have for 2 years. Can I use mupirocin while taking methadone?

Yes, that should be fine, as long as your doctor approves.

The FDA classifies Methadone as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Mupirocin is a topical antibiotic and its side effects are usually limited to skin reactions, such as redness, dryness and itching.
