Can I Use Expire Citalopram

Dr has prescribe me this medication again, and i will not be able to get the medication till 2 weeks, i do have left over medication, can i use expire citalopram that exp. on 4/10/16?

This medication does not become toxic, or dangerous after its expiration date, but it may start to lose some efficacy and not work as well for you.

However, you can try taking it, if your doctor approves. Have you asked them about it?

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes.
