I've been taking norco 10-325 for approximately 1 1/2 years due to a herniated disc. I had a laminecty and partial discecty this morning. I was prescribed Percocet 10-325 and Valium 5mg and was instructed to continue all previous medications. I was unsure about taking the norco and the Percocet both but the Percocet is not relieving the pain. Can I take them both.

The risk of taking both is due to the Acetaminophen that they both contain, according to NIH reports, Acetaminophen toxicity risks causing fatal health conditions.
Percocet is stronger than Norco, so if it is not helping your pain, you should consult your doctor, because you may need to try something else.
The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
