Can I Take Monistat 7 While On Nitrofutantoin

Finishing up on taking nitrofurantoin. How soon can I start taking monistat 7. Now I have a yeast infection. Actually had during the time I am on nitrofurantoin.

Hi, Lady Lex! Sorry about the yeast infection, they are very annoying!

And you could have started using the Monistat, while still on the antibiotic from what I can find. You should always check such information with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain, but I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between the two.

Many times, when women are prone to getting yeast infections from antibiotics, doctors will prescribe Diflucan (Fluconazole) as a preventative, so they don't have to deal with two different kinds of infections, at the same time. You may want to keep that in mind and ask about it in the future, since it's a one shot deal. Meaning most women take one, 150mg tablet and are done, it clears it up in a few days, or prevents one from occurring.
