Can I Take Meloxicam With Tylenol #4

I'm taking Nucynta 100mg 4 x a day with IB profen 800mg 3 x a day for back pain but am currently out of Nucynta so I have been taking Tylenol/Codeine # 3 and # 4 with my IB Profen and a few 7.5 Meloxicam. I should be getting my refill today but I take the other meds to keep from going into withdrawels, been there several times getting off Oxy, and several other opiates and it is nothing nice. Are these safe to mix?

You should not be mixing the Ibuprofen and the Meloxicam, the FDA classifies these both as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so you are essentially doubling up on the same medication, which increases your risk of bleeding, stomach irritation, and possible ulceration.

How are you doing?

There is also a risk of liver damage from combining those two medications, according to NIH studies.
