Can I Take Ibruprofen With Trimetho Sulfamethox 160 800 Mg

my dad had a prostrate biopsy and it looks like he now has an infection, he is on apo-sulfatrim DS 800/160mg, he still has a fever, can he take ibruprofen also

This antibiotic may increase the effect of Ibuprofen, but the U.S. FDA doesn't list it as being a dangerous side effect, however, he should only take it with the approval of a medical professional.

The typical side effects may possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation.
