I suffer severe neck pain from degenerative arthritis. My doctor refuses to give me a script for hydrocodone which is the only drug that helps me. Can you suggest some other drug I could take that would help me?

It would be 8 hours, you'd need to replace the next Tylenol does with the Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen. Taking too much Tylenol/Acetaminophen in any 8 hour period may result in overdose toxicity, which can be fatal.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I had surgery on my elbow and I've been taking hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325 for pain, but I have only needed it at night. Today I took four 500 mg doses of tylenol (which is 2000 mg) at 4:30, and I miscounted the hours and took a hydrocodone/acetaminophen at 9:45. Will this be ok?
