Can I Take Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 5 325 And Ibuprofen

I have been taking 3 ibuprofen for jaw pain after having roots extracted for future implants. The dr had prescribed hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-325, but I don't like the way it makes me feel. I was trying to cut back on pain meds after 4 days, so I took 2 of the ibuprofen instead of 3. It isn't helping, so can I add 1/2 of a hydrocodone pill or would it be better to take a 3rd ibuprofen pill?

If the hydrocodone was causing undesirable side effects taking an additional Ibuprophen would certainly not hurt. You may wish to take it with milk or something to coat your stomach .so long as you don't exceed the daily max.dose of any NSAID you will be fine.Hope you feel better soon,Kenie.
