Can I Take A Vicodin After 10mg Targin 600mg Gabapentin

I've been prescribed 10mg targin with 600mg of Gabapentin , can I take a Vicodin a couple of hrs later to help relieve nerve pain ...
I don't want to overdose ..

Hello, Nina! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain.

You should stick with one or the other, since both Targin and Vicodin contain Acetaminophen, taking too much of it daily, or in any 8 hour period could result in overdose toxicity, which may be fatal. I could also be dangerous to double up on the narcotics, as well.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
