Can I Take 2 Vicodines 500 Mg While 7 Months Pregnant

I'm 7 months pregnant and recently got out of the hospital because I had a Nhefrostamy tube placed in my kidneys n still have it in me I have severe pain every day my OB prescribed me oxcycodine 10 mg she said I could take two at the same time but the she switched me to vicodine 500 mg is it safe for me to take two? Because one doesn't work?? Please I need a quick answer ?

When it comes to something like this and your pregnancy, you really need to consult your doctor. The health of your kidneys could play a role here, as well as the fact that you're pregnant and any other medications you may be taking.

It's just really not a good idea for someone online with such limited information to give you a definitive answer in such a situation.

What is the exact dosage of the Vicodin? The 500mgs only refers to the Acetaminophen that is in it.

If your Dr has prescribed it to you, than yes. A once or twice use of opiates is not going to harm baby. 10 mg in you will not be 10mg for baby, but much less, and not on a habitual scheduled baby Won't have withdraw syndromes. I have 3 children and 2 of those pregnancies both had on and off opiate prescriptions.

You really can follow your Dr. Advice, and as the other person stated, don't follow any advice from an open chat line when your baby is the topic. It's just my opinion you are safe taking 2 vicodine while preg if you were prescribed up to 2 10mg oxys, then 2 5 mg hydrostatic won't be any worse. Just try to avoid opiates all together, but when in a jam, stickers your Dr. plan. Best wishes, and God Bless your new child.
