Hi meagen,

I don't know if you or your doctor were already aware of this, but according to drug interaction checkers, there are interactions listed between the following drug combinations - some being potentially more dangerous than others in my opinion:

1.) Adipex-P (phentermine) + Topamax (topiramate); taking these two medications together can reportedly increase blood levels & effects of phentermine as well as an increased risk of side effects such as tremors, dizziness, headaches, restlessness, insomnia, mood changes, rapid heart beat, palpitations, or a rise in blood pressure.

2.) Cyclobenzaprine + Topamax (topiramate); taking these two medications together can reportedly increase body temperature and decrease your ability to sweat (increasing risk of heat stroke in warmer climates or during intense physical activity). Other possible side effects also include lightheadedness, fever, dizziness, or drowsiness.

3.) Cyclobenzaprine + Xanax (alprazolam); taking these two medications together can reportedly increase your risk of certain side effects such as impaired cognitive function, difficulty concentrating, dizziness, and drowsiness.

4.) Cyclobenzaprine + Toprol-XL (metoprolol); taking these two medications together can reportedly cause additive effects on lowering blood pressure as well as an increased risk of side effects such as dizziness, lightheadedness, headaches, an irregular pulse or heart rate, and even fainting.

5.) Toprol-XL (metoprolol) + Xanax (alprazolam); lists the same interaction as #4

6.) Topamax (topiramate) + Xanax (alprazolam); lists the same interaction as #3

Given these details, I would encourage you to speak with your doctor about these interactions before moving forward with treatment. Sometimes doctors don't take the time to look for possible interactions and their failure to do so can potentially present serious complications for those individuals who put all their trust in them. I hope this information finds you before it's too late. ~Wishing you good health!
