Can I Get Into A Methadone Treatment Center With It In My System (Top voted first)

I was in a methadone treatment center. I was being lowered off methadone and I thought I was doing good, but I was sick and going through withdraws and I got methadone off the street and now I am sick if I do not have it. Can I get back into a treatment center again? I can not afford to buy it anymore, and I do not want to be sick. where can I go to get help?

Dear Nickie, I don't see why not. Especially being u were already in a clinic and do have methadone in your system. U may have 2 do paperwork again 2 get back in. The only way a clinic can refuse u is if u have no drugs in your system. You must come up positive 4 opiates. Good Luck!

That's why they have jobs. In australia they like playing god. U/A's, ect, if you have anything in your system you're in trouble, even though it's got nothing to do with your original problem. Cannabis, ect, may have a calming effect. Sometimes i think they just don't understand. Read too many books. I have neck damage, fell off a horse, spent 3 months in the hospital who sent me home at first with panadol. lol

Just go back. They will let you back in the program as long as you did not leave on bad terms. Did you want to wing back off to a lower dose? You will have to start over, fill out paperwork, you know the rules. Plus, must be dirty with at least 3 different scheduled drugs. Don't know if your insurance pays for your treatment or not but I know it can be pricey. But it's worth it to be on the program. At least you won't be sick or die or get ahold of the wrong thing. Plus the program works if you work it. Good luck to you. I've been on methadone for over 30 yrs. It changed my life to the better but still have painful diseases and lung disease so go ahead set up an appt and go. It will be ok. Hugs to you.

It seems as u was going to fast, coming down. That's more than likely why u was getting sick. Ur body wasn't used to not having enough methadone, as it was used to. Try going slower,if u truly wanna come off it totally.
