Can I Dose Half A 30 Mg Morphine Cr To Only Give 15mg

can I cut a 30 milligram controlled morphine into 15 mg. Without all immediate effects?

No, this is a time released formulation of Morphine, so it is not safe to break, crush or cut it, as that could result in getting to much of the medication at once, which may result in overdose.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
