Hello, Carrie! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the problems you've had.

The FDA classifies Prednisone as a steroid and yes, it has been known to cause such issues in some people that take it. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, irritability, insomnia and weight gain.

Generally, its related to the stimulant like effect it can have on your body, it elevates your heart rate, breath rate and blood pressure, since things are working harder, it may make you feel short of breath.

However, please make sure to report this symptom to your doctor, so they can check it out, just in case it isn't related to the medication.

Are there any other questions or concerns?
