Hi Christina,

Clotrimazole is used to treat yeast infections. However, according to the US National Institute of Health, the product warning label for Clotrimazole recommends asking a doctor before applying this medication on children under 2 years of age. I don't know what sort of risk factors or side effects may be associated with children in this age group who are taking Clotrimazole, but I'm sure the age limit is in place for a good reason. So we can only hope that the doctor will be able to make an appropriate judgement call upon determining whether or not it's going to be safe. Something they may take into consideration is the child's biological age in conjunction with their chronological age, since sometimes we develop/mature faster on the inside than what can be reflected in the number of years we've been alive. That's what biology taught me anyways Lol. Hope this helps!
