Can Augmentin Be Used To Treat Chest Infection

Can I use this med to treat a chest infection. I was probably given these for that reason to start with, but just making sure, as I can't get a appointment for 2 weeks and want it gone by then. Suffering with these infections a lot so I no it's def a chest infection
