Amoxicillin is an antibiotic that can be used to treat various types of bacterial infections in both people and animals. However, you shouldn't take it, unless your doctor has instructed you to do so.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
