spike, that's a bit tricky because if you take a medication in other forms (such as taking an injectable medication vs oral, etc), the body may metabolize it more quickly and it would result in lower levels of the medication in your body over time. With that said, the screen should still show the medication, but it might not be at the expected levels if it was not taken orally closer to the test. Of course I can't say with 100% certainty so I am just sharing a general concept with you. So to the best of my knowledge a test checks for levels of the substance in the body, I doubt there is any way for it to reveal exactly how the medication was taken other than by conjecture through the levels and rate of metabolizing the medication. I welcome any feedback from others who might have different information! and I hope this helps.
