It gives me high blood pressure, a headache and red face. My blood pressure is normally fine.. I read this is not one of the more common side effects but can happen to about 10% of ppl taking it

Yes, it can be taken, as long as your doctor approves.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
