Can I take the Belviq before bedtime will it affect my sleep?

Hi Kelly,

From what I've researched, the manufacturer's dosing instructions that are listed in the Prescribing Information, state that you're supposed to take one 10mg tablet twice daily. It doesn't specify if any of the doses are best taken at night or during the day. However, if I were to adhere to these instructions, it would make sense to take one in the morning hours and one in the afternoon or evening hours in order to spread out its effects throughout the day; unless instructed to do otherwise by your doctor.

Not being a patient, I don't know if Belviq has a stimulating effect, but if it does, that would probably be best determined in the morning dose so that you can get a feel for how it works early on and can then decide how late in the day it would be feasible to take the second dose in order to not compromise your sleep.
