Camcolit To Wellbutrin

Can I change from Camcolit to Wellbutrin as I have gained a lot of weight!!!!!
I am on a high dosage in the morning and evening of Camcolit.
I feel very unhappy about that .
I feel I should be able to take Meds that doesn't affect the way I feel about myself
and look.I want to loose weight and read that Wellbutrin helps weight loss

Hello, Cheri! How are you? I am very sorry about the issue you're having from the Camcolit.

However, I have to caution against switching, without your doctor's approval and assistance. These two medications are not completely interchangeable, since Camcolit is actually a mood stabilizer and Wellbutrin is an antidepressant, as classified by the NIH.

While they can sometimes be used to treat the same conditions, only your doctor can decide if it is safe for you to switch.
