Butrans Side Effects

I have speech problems which I put down to being on BuTrans 5 patches .Which I was on for 18 months I stopped using 5 weeks ago my lips felt numb and I had difficulty talking my doctor has agreed that the patches were causing the problem and advised me to stop using .
My question is Will my speech return to normal as so far
I'm still having trouble with slurred speech
