Buspar And Hallucinations

I may have accidentally taken a Buspar instead of my Xanax and experienced severe visual hallucinations for about 2 hours afterwards would this be possible from Buspar? It was a stupid thing to do but I ran out of my Xanax and my friend gave me what I thought was Xanax bars which I have never done before.

Yes, it is not a common side effect, but the FDA does list it as being reported from those taking this medication. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and nervousness.
