Bupropion For Opiate Withdrawals
UpdatedDo the light green bupropion pills help with opiate withdrawals?

Bupropion is classifies by the FDA as an antidepressant that is also used to aid in smoking cessation. In order for it to work, it must be taken regularly for several weeks.
Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and insomnia.
That said, no, it likely won't do much to help with withdrawals.
I think you may be thinking of Buprenorphine, the active ingredient in Subutex and coupled with Naloxone in Suboxone. It is used to treat drug addition.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Is there anything else I can help with?
They can help some. Not with the pain though.
Re: steve (# 2)
Bupropion (Wellbutrin) is an antidepressant. this may help with the withdrawal (this is not immediate) - i do not mean Naloxone / (Buprenorphine).
depression is common during withdrawals from substance. that is all i meant.
