Buprenorphine Naloxone An 415

I have been on suboxone treatment program for 7 years and I have been on the Amneal AN 415 generic tablets ever since they removes the name brand. I live in Clarke county Alabama. I have recently been switched to the Actavis white 155 round pills and I hate them. I am not able to find the AN 415 Amneal tablets anywhere that I have found???? Anyone know a place that has them around me?? I'll even travel for them cause I work construction already and usually am traveling alot anyway??? Any info will be greatly appreciated

Hello Flea,
This seems to be a question that gets brought up a lot. Unfortunately what it boils down to is money, often pharmacies get the cheapest generic available and when another generic becomes cheaper they switch. This leaves people like you out in the cold, it's just the sad reality.
Fortunately there are a few things you can do if you're serious about getting this specific brand.
Most users in this situation find that it helps them most to go to the smaller mom and pop type pharmacies. Since they have less clients they are more likely to special order for you and give you the customer service you're seeking.
Making phone calls to pharmacies to see if they carry your brand will save you a lot of time.
Lastly patience is key. If your pharmacy has swapped generics because of pricing it is very likely that all of the pharmacies in your area have or are going to make a similar swap so don't get discouraged if you have to spend a good amount of time searching.
I understand that this is generic information but in all honesty this is an issue that doesn't have an exact answer. I'm simply giving you the information that has helped other users. Best of luck to you and I hope you find your brand soon.
Has anyone tried this? I was on Methadone, switched to Suboxone, not a fun swap over. In fact having to do it all again, I might have just gone off altogether. It was basically withdrawal. And Yes I followed the instructions. Now, If I want to get off the Suboxone, why not take a small amount of methadone, once my Suboxone is weaned down, just to help get off the Suboxone. My reasoning is, it could be used for a short time, and since Suboxone is an antagonist rather than an agonist, it may be able to mitigate the sickness of withdrawal, and if I take small doses for a short period, could this work? I should not get readdicted to the methadone. I am not an addict, I know, I know, no one ever is. But I am VERY disciplined, my tolerance and dependence is a result of severe pain, NOT kicks. Please, I am not judging anyone, my situation is mine, yours is yours and we are all in the same boat. Just want some second opinions about the wisdom in such a plan? My pain is diminished thanks to surgery and I want off this s*** once and for all. I know some people would not survive without strong pain pills. I am not one of them. Help if you can. Thanks in advance.
While I don't live anywhere near you, I was given the "Amneal AN 415" generic Suboxone tablets at Rite Aid pharmacy (in Cleveland, Ohio). Why don't you just call around to different pharmacies near you and ask which manufacturer they carry? That's what I did, because I was trying to find a pharmacy who carried anything other than the Amneal brand. I am so surprised that you actually like that brand. Those pills made me so sick! I went into withdrawal two days after having to switch over from the brand name Suboxone films to the generic Amneal.
Since being forced to take the generic Buprenorphine/Naloxone 8/2mg tabs, I have found that the manufacturer "Roxane" "54 375" from CVS were better than the rest.
I had the same problem when my pharmacy switched manufacturers. Because Actavis brand contains a filler ingredient which Amneal does not, I became so sick. I had to switch to the film/strips and they were much better. Maybe you can ask dr to write for films? Good luck -
