Bruising, Spontaneous Subcutaneous Bruising, Migraine, Haema
UpdatedMy daughter is suffering from a rare and ongoing medical condition that defies a specific diagnosis but presents as a (practically) continuous headache, with spontaneous sub cutaneous bruising around one eye, exceptionally severe and painful. Consultant prescribed candesartan, was initially succesful in diminishing frquency and intensity of bruising around eye, but bruising has now moved to initially one arm ( approximately 2 inch diameter circles, then progressively larger) and now on both arms ( underneath) to the extent that both underneath arms from wrist to elbow are almosy entirely covered with dark ( blackish, not blue) bruising, can anybody help by responding with info on similar conditions/treatments/results of using candesartan, thank you.

I would like to make it clear that I am not critical of candesartan or of the physician who prescribed it, and the bruising is NOT a side effect of the drug, the candesartan was prescribed in an attempt to deal with the underlying causes of the bruising, and appeared to be successful, but unfortunately the bruising has now appeared in a different area ( the arms) and I wonder if anybody has experienced anything like this in connection with the use of candesartan for similar conditions, or any information or experience on unexplained subcutaneous bruising in general greatly appreciated, thanks
