The criss-cross lines are simply a score mark, to make it easier to cut or break the pill, if needed.
I am afraid that if it only has the number 10 on it, it is going to be difficult to narrow down. It is more than likely not a prescription medication, but could be something from a foreign country or any one of a large number of over the counter items.
Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere?
