Blood Pressure Fluctuating Readings

I have had incidents of orthostatic hypotension and syncope in the recent past. I will have blood pressure fluctuations during the day ranging from sometimes a morning high of 154/90 down to 93/56 at some point during the day. I have Grade 1 diastolic dysfunction, pulmonary venous hypertension and moderate diffusion disorder. The lung diffusion disorder is 4 points away from severe. I'm iron deficiency anemic and have numerous other medical issues. Last year I had a CRP four times normal and an ESR, I think, that was twice normal. I was placed on hydroquinine (sp) and am still on it. The maximum dosage twice a day. I have central sleep apnea and OSA. My vpap settings are 18/13. I also have controlled asthma and copd.

Your blood pressure readings are supposed to fluctuate throughout the day. There will never be a time that they consistently stay at any certain level, all the time.

It should change according to your activity levels, the medications you take, what you eat, when you eat, what you drink and etc.

It is perfectly normal for it to go up in the morning, when you're suddenly being active after sleeping and then to settle back down later in the day, most people end up with theirs going much lower in the evening, when their body enters a more relaxed state and they aren't so busy.

There are many things that could cause orthostatic hypotension, including medications and dehydration.

What medications are you on regularly?
