Bleeding After Stopping Angelique

My doctor had me on Angelique for nine months now. I have decided to stop taking angelique cold turkey, now I have started bleeding. How long is this bleeding going to last and is it normal to have a bleeding like a period. I haven't had a period in 7 yrs now.

Yes, that can be a normal withdrawal effect, when you stop such a medication, according to the U.S. FDA. You may also experience nausea, headache and PMS-like symptoms.

However, you should have things checked out by your doctor to be safe, especially if the bleeding gets heavy, or continues after a few weeks.
