Bleeding After Menopause

My mother had stopped her periods before 2 years.She is 54 now and now bright red bleeding occured since 4 days.Bleeding like 4 th day of normal periods.Is this abnormal?What will do for this?

Hi I had the same problem.doctor prescribed progesterone . I didn't use it.I used the birth control pill for a month and that stopped the bleeding .
