Black Round Pill No Markings

I have a black pill in the same shape and sizeas a oxycontin 60 except with no imprints.My wifes friend says its a morphine 100 and they ran out of her usual brand and gave her these.

If there are no markings on it, it is not a legal U.S. prescription tablet. They are all required to have markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency.

It is most likely some type of over the counter product, although there is a small chance that it could be a foreign medication.

Is she claiming to have received this from her pharmacy?

The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Verwon,I appreciate your reply and i found out (i was told after my wife spoke to the person it came from) that it was an iron vitamin pill. Im prescribed morphine, i've had 30,60 and 100mg and know what they look like, i also know that all pills especially narcotics must have identification stamped/printed like you said.

my wife doesnt take pills at all, i have to force her to take aspirin for her migraines. Since i do get prescribed morphine and she was given this pill that my wife was going to give to me... my wife said she watched her take it out of the morphine bottle. i told my wife anybody can put any kind of pill into any bottle, so take Verwon's & my advice.. if there's no identifying marks it's illegal most likely & dont take it..flush it like i did. Im glad this site is available. thank you all.
